General terms and conditions

The registration for the conference must be done online. The registration becomes valid after the receipt of the participation fee.

Registration fee (320 EUR + 27% VAT) includes the participation on the programs of the conference on the 1th of December 2020, coffee breaks and lunch.

Payment should be done by bank transfer. Cheques and credit cards are not accepted.

After the registration, you will receive an official confirmation letter. After you completed the payment of the fee you will receive the pro forma invoice via email and only after the event will you receive the invoice in email. Registration is possible, subject to capacity, up to the beginning of the conference.

Early bird tickets are available with 20% discount (960 EUR+VAT) until the 5th November 2020.

We accept a substitute nominated by the registered participants. The nomination of a substitute must be made in written form until 25th of November 2020, and it is free of charge.  Substitutions are only permitted between delegates from the same organization.

With regards to the global pandemic situation and healthy – safety considerations, the audience of the Budapest Energy Summit is limited to 100 people. Therefore, the available tickets  – authorizing for in-person participation – are also limited to 100.

Online tickets are also available for the Budapest Energy Summit for  60 EUR+ 27% VAT. The online ticket includes access to the online streaming of the conference on the website of the conference. In the case of online tickets, the transfer of the ticket to another individual is not possible.

The official language of the conference is English, all programs will be held in English, without any translation or interpretation.

Cancellation of the registration is possible at any time but no refund of the participation fee will be paid.

In the case of non-attendance, no refund of the participation fee will be paid.

If the Summit is cancelled by the organizers, the total amount of the fee will be refunded.

If the conference cannot be organized as an in-person event, with an audience at all due to the government’s decision related to the coronavirus pandemic, the tickets purchased for in-person participation can be changed to online tickets. In this situation participants will be promptly informed by the organisers about the changes. Participants shall contact the organisers who will change their tickets and refund the the price difference for the participant.

Further claims for compensation are excluded.

In exceptional cases the organizers of the Budapest Energy Summit reserve the right to change speakers, the venue or the scheduled program.

With registration, you accept that during the conference photographs and video records will be taken that could include recognizable images or voices of those in attendance.

By registration, you contribute that in the frame of our data management based on your legitimate interests we send you newsletters about Budapest Energy Summit and other conferences organized by WPC. Our data management meets the requirements of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data.

With regards of the current pandemic situation the attendees of the Budapest Energy Summit 2020 should:

  • Be aware of the signs and symptoms of respiratory illness;
  • Strictly refrain from attending the Budapest Energy Summit in case of signs and symptoms of respiratory illness and seek advice from respective authorities
  • Undertake regular preventive measures such as wearing face masks/nose-mouth covering as required, cough/sneezing etiquette and regular handwashing;
  • Not shake hands with other participants and keep social distance of at least 1,5 meter whenever talking to other delegates while standing or sitting;
  • After the Summit inform the organizers immediately if you are confirmed by health authorities to have COVID-19, or if you are placed in quarantine within 14 days of the meeting, so that necessary contact tracing in association with a COVID-19 case may be carried out.
